One Trip Queen

I wish I were making this up. Wishing that this was Photoshopped. It's not. This is a family joke now ... this behavior. This is from 3 years ago, but sadly, my behavior has not changed much. If I make a trip to do something, I try to carry as much as possible. It cuts down on how many trips I have to make, afterall. Can you see the cylinder of tea falling beside my right hip? Yes, this is common. I try to carry so much that I drop and drop and drop as I walk.

Groceries? 3-5 bags per trip from the car to the house.

Laundry? 5o pound laundry basket hauled in one big heap to the laundry room instead of 4 trips of roughly 10 pounds each. oh, I kid. Sort of.

And, for the record? Can we ignore the junk in my hallway? If only I walked through the house tidying up like I carry groceries! Maybe my hallway would look different. Maybe.

I can so relate to your "One Trip Queen" behavior.

I to try to make each trip as productive as possible. And like your hall, I wish I would tackle the "stuff" on our dining table with the same zeal.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

LOL! Your photo reminds me of Rachael Ray and how she loads up her arms when she's pulling stuff from the fridge...drives me nuts!

And as for trips from the car? Yup, been there...back in the newlywed days when our garage/condo trip was across the parking lot, around the building, and up the stairs, my husband and I perfected the art of 20 grocery bags making permanent indentations on our arms. Now? I just say, "Hey kids! Groceries please!" (Oh, if it were that easy.) :)

Thanks for visiting me; I'll be back to see you again sometime, too!

I do this too. I think alot of us moms do this...part of our multi-tasking, get it all done habits.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. Thank you for all the sweet comments. I will be posting an update to the tasty kakes post, complete with pictures!!

I love your picture!
We lived in a 3rd floor apartment when we were in Germany. Add the stairs from the street & from the half-story basement landing & it was more like the 4th floor. With a 2 year-old & infant, I learned quickly to carry my groceries all at once if at all possible. In fact, I still try to even though I live in a one-story house in FL. Go figure!
