Shuttle Launch

I promised a slideshow of the

shuttle launch, but I haven't found the time. This is my favorite picture that I took with my new Nikon. For my friends who have a new camera on their wish list for Christmas, this is the Nikon d40 with the 80-200mm lens. Ok, so back to the shuttle, notice the green image to the left of the shuttle. This is some sort of inverted reflection of the flame. Isn't it cool? It moves around on the pictures right here at liftoff and then disappears. I think the other reason that I like this picture is that the sound hit us right about this spot in launch. It was so powerful that it felt like it was going to knock us backward. Everyone should experience a shuttle launch. Way fun!

I LOVE that picture. I can't get over the detail in the cloud of smoke. I MUST have that same camera someday. I miss you so much! Have you gotten my emails with the picture links? Can't wait to see you soon!
